Are any tools required when attaching and/or using the "Swing-Away Stump Support"?
No tools are required to attach the support to the wheelchair. You will need a Philips
screwdriver to attach the pad to the support. Currently some models require a 3/32nd ”
Allan Wrench and 7/16” open end wrench in order to make height adjustments, however are
more popular selling models do not.
What if the knob that adjusts the cushion doesn't seem to be tightening into the slide?
It is not necessary to totally remove the knob from the slide assembly when adjusting the
pad. However, if the knob should become unattached from the assembly, check the tubing to
be certain the metal insert is aligned for the knob to fit. If you are unable to locate the
insert, strike the plugged end of the tube on a hard surface so as to dislodge the insert.
Then align the hole in the slot so the knob will turn into it and tighten.
What is the difference between a leg rest and the "Swing-Away Stump Support"?
A leg rest would tend to be longer and extend out further than a support and would not be
adjustable for the height of the cushion/seat. Additionally, the pad would not adjust
